“I don’t participate in social media but have been asked to respond to Mary Ellen Ambrose comment regarding alternative plan for the lifetime site I had a very nervous partner during the election process. He met with the couple who wanted to build their own club. He committed to a $10,000 party for them to help promote the Farm at a party at the soccer park during the height of Covid I was very angry about this but honored his commitment. He made other offers without consulting me As managing member I make those decisions The plan they had was not financeable, would have to go on the ballot just like lifetime, and involved many moving parts that if one didn’t work the whole plan fails They also used extremely loud outdoor speakers It wasn’t a viable long term plan. I never had an agreement with anybody If lifetime passes I think it’s a win If it loses I’ll come up with a secondary plan but not with that group. Anything otherwise is just internet gossip”
-We did not want to build our own club. The Farm LLC promised us a facility of a certain size for a certain rent.

The Farms President/Chair seemed quite pleased in the press release as well as when he reached out to ask for our help writing to the Poway Chieftain (3).

-The Farm LLC came to us a said there was no funding for what was promised to the community. We said we would step in if we received the land for $1.

-We ask that The Farm LLC honor the agreements that were made. We are ready to expeditiously execute our plan and what was committed to the community. They already voted for it.
–Note: Our financing plan and business model is simple: The healthy small businesses that will operate at the site will be the anchor tenants and their revenues will secure the approximately $5M needed to construct the facility. Affordable memberships for local families to use the amenities will cover the debt service and ongoing maintenance costs. The land will be the collateral. This is a standard real estate model.
